Lara Scott can be heard every weekday from 10a-3p on KFSH 95.9 The Fish (www.fish959.com), and nightly from 7p—Midnight on 99.5 KKLA (www.kkla.com).

I love the Lord! I grew up in a Christian home, but walked away from my faith as a teenager. God never let me go, though, and in 2005 I rededicated my life to Him. I was a complete mess at the time (and in many ways, still am), but He helped me turn things around. I love being in Christian radio because I get to remind you that God is near, and that you are never too far gone for Him to reach you.

As a kid, I used to use my little stereo and microphone to make countdown tapes for my mom. I officially started in radio as a teenager in Bend, Oregon, after calling a local station on a dare. I’ve since worked in Portland and San Francisco, in just about every style of radio, and these days you can hear me on the air and on a variety of commercials and TV shows from here in Los Angeles to Latvia!

The biggest news in my life is that I’m a mom! It’s amazing how little sleep the human body needs to function, and how much coffee one can drink every day. My son, Dallas, was born in November, and is one of the loves of my life. My hubby is the other one! Dallas has inspired me to do all I can to help make this world a kinder, more loving place. When I have free time again in a few years, I’ll be snowboarding and going to lots of movies, plays, concerts!
